- Manufacturing Process: The JCOE manufacturing process begins with a flat steel plate. This plate is first pressed into a “J” shape, then a “C” shape, followed by an “O” shape. After this, a cold expansion process is applied to form the final pipe shape. The edges of the pipe are then welded together using a submerged arc welding process.
- Material: Typically, these pipes are made from carbon steel, low alloy steels, or stainless steel. The specific material used will depend on the application and the requirements for strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion.
- Size: JCOE LSAW pipes can be produced in a wide range of sizes. The diameter of the pipes can range from around 16 inches (406.4 mm) to 60 inches (1524 mm). The wall thickness can also vary, typically ranging from 6.0 mm to 60 mm.
