The following file indicates the various international standards for welded cold-formed structural tubing;
round, square and rectangular. These specifications can be compared to the steel types that ABTERSTEEL COMPANY currently use in our roll forming of structural tubes and profiles.
ABTERSTEEL cold forms our structural welded steel hollow sections according to the SANS (South African National Standards) specification. We manufacture all our steel sections and open profiles according to the SANS specifications. This includes our electrical steel conduit, conveyor tubes, galvanized tubing, side impact bars, water pipe and general circular, rectangle and square steel tubes. The standards for the variety of SANS specifications that we manufacture to can be viewed the at the top of the Specification page under Technical Info on this website, or click on the
The table below indicates the various international standards for welded cold-formed structural tubing; round, square and rectangular. These specifications can be compared to the steel types that ABTERSTEEL currently use in our roll forming of structural tubes and profiles. The material grades can be found by clicking on the below link or going to the material properties page on the technical info page on the ABTERSTEEL website.
These tables display the typical chemical composition and mechanical properties of some common steel types.
